 About Me

 

Chef/coach Alysha preslar

In my journey to where I am now, being a foodie has always been my one true constant. It wasn’t until I got into fitness that I began seeing food through the lens of nutrition. This is where I found my true calling. It became my passion to transform my favorite dishes into nutritious versions that promoted health in a delicious way. I found ways to incorporate this love for healthy cooking into my every day life, but wanted to be able to help others do the same. Working in a holistic healthcare clinic, I saw first hand how much people struggled to make a transition to a healthy diet. I knew I was meant to fill this gap, so after 6.5 years of letting my passion sit in the back seat, I took a big leap to leave my corporate job and go back to school to fulfill my dream.

I graduated from the Natural Foods Chef program at the Nutrition Therapy Institute in 2019 and have not looked back since. Foodie Farmacy was born a few months later, and began as a nutrition-based personal chef service. After over 2 years of servicing many individuals and families, I decided it was time for more.

I decided to go back to school again to become a Integrative Nutrition Health Coach in order to reach even more people. As a health coach, my mission is to help people live their lives optimally, and in great health. Sometimes all someone needs is a guiding force, and I am here to be that for you! While working with me, I will help empower you to get back in the drivers seat of your own health, and make lasting changes that transform your life.

 
 

About the Clients

Clients of Foodie Farmacy come from all walks of life, but they have one very important thing in common; their desire to control their health naturally through food and lifestyle, all while retaining a healthy mindset. While I don’t strictly work with women, I find that they are more drawn to my services. After all, women are the heart of the home, so once they get their nutrition in check, they usually spread it into their families everyday lifestyle as well. Food and dining are the centerpiece of social engagement and of most homes, and that should not change just because you choose to adopt a healthy diet. It is more apparent now than ever that what we put into our bodies plays a lead role in our overall health. A nutritious diet and healthy lifestyle have the power to prevent and reverse disease, sickness, early aging, and the need for prescription medications. My clients know this and choose to give their body the fuel that will allow it to function at its highest capacity. While most people think of healthy eating as restrictive or boring, I see it as one of the most creative, delicious, and fulfilling things you can do for yourself. Whether you choose personal chef or health coaching services, it is my mission to make you feel the same way.
