Ingredients:
¼ cup almond flour
1 tbsp. ground flax seeds
½ cup almond milk, or other non-dairy milk
1 tbsp. maple syrup or raw unfiltered honey
1 tbsp. almond butter, or nut butter of choice
¼ tsp. vanilla extract
optional add-ins:
pinch of cinnamon
½ mashed banana
¼ cup fruit of choice
1 scoop protein powder
paleo compliant granola
nuts & seeds
paleo compliant yogurt (Lavva brand is my fave!)
Directions:
Combine all ingredients except the vanilla extract in a small pot warm over medium heat, stirring frequently (If using a mashed banana and/or cinnamon, add it to the pot as well). After about5 minutes your mixture will begin to bubble and be thickened.
Turn the heat down to low and add in the vanilla extract, as well as protein powder if using. Stir well to combine and continue to cook until the desired texture is reached.
Pour into a bowl and top with desired toppings. Enjoy!
